A Channelled Message at the Great Northern Hotel Newcastle

So, quite an interesting thing happened tonight when we were at the Great Northern Hotel doing our third investigation there.

The Great Northern Hotel has been standing since the 1860's and prior to that the Shop Inn was one of the earliest established licensed Inn in Newcastle.

So it's bound to be haunted right!!!

What is ITC -
The term Instrumental Trans-Communication (ITC) was coined by Ernst Senkowski in the 1970's to refer more generally to communication through any sort of electronic device such as tape recorders, fax machines, television sets or computers between spirits or other discarnate entities and the living.

We came down to the third floor to do some ITC experiments the group was split into two smaller groups.
Half the group went into a room for an SB11 experiment modelled on the Estes experiment seen on a favourite paranormal show, where part of the group puts on headphones and listens to the SB 11 as it scans through radio stations, and shout out any words or sentences they believe that they are hearing through the headphones. The  people who are watching ask questions so, of course, those on the headphones do not hear the questions that are being asked therefore it becomes a very interesting when the answers start to match the questions or there is a conversation where both sides seemly flow and make sense.

The other half of the group went to another part of that particular floor where they were part of another ITC experiment using a portal app on a laptop which produced random words.
Once again questions were asked to the ghosts who would answer using the portal to manipulate the sounds coming from it to form words.
What is of interest to us, as Investigators, is if the randomness of the words seems to make sense with regards to the questions that are being asked.

During the second group's session on the SB11 there was a pair of headphones vacant and so I took the advantage of jumping on as I truly love this experiment and what I also am trying to do is to get enough opportunity to improve skills at deciphering the messages coming through.

This time there's something weird happened.
Certainly I was listening to the words coming through  but the words seemed to make little sense and were  blending in to each other.
I  just could not seem to focus on them this time.

I kept hearing a voice that seemed to become louder and stronger than the words coming through the SB11. The voice kept saying, "talk to the lady in the corner'!
I listened to this voice and it said the same thing over and over - "talk to the lady in the corner."

Eventually took the headphones off  - others were chattering away yelling out the words and repeating them.
I was compelled to speak to the lady in the corner and I asked her had she had anyone very close to her, a friend who had passed over.
The lady that I was focused on said, no, she had not. So I asked whether the women either side of her may have had a friend passed over.
The lady to her right said no, but the lady to the left said yes.
.
So I popped the headphones back on hoping to listen to some more information and after another moment I took the headphones off and said, "So the person I am listening to has said to me that their death was totally unexpected."
And the lady's reply was, "Yes, that's correct."

I said to the lady, "This friend of yours is very close to you, she follows you around at work - she's staying with you at the moment. You were both very close."
To which laid replied, "Yes you're correct."

The next part of what she said caught me by surprise when she told us that her friend had committed suicide just a few meters further up the same street where we were now standing.

During this bit of the conversation, three other people were still on the headphones and they were still replying what they were hearing through the headphones, so just prior to when this lady said that her friend had taken her life the others were saying words like, " be careful", "slippery underfoot", "she didn't want to do it", so they're words were a match to the conversation that the lady and I were having.

I popped the headphones back on for a moment and the voice said, Please pass on a message that this is her time - it's time!" The voice kept saying, " it's time".

I passed on this message to the lady who said that she wasn't quite sure what that meant ,at which point the other people on the headphones said the word "time."

Her friends looked at her and they seemed to know exactly what was meant by 'it's time' and it was to do with work and slowing down.

This whole process left me in quite a state.
I have never had such a strong channelled message  in a SB11 session.
I was happy that I could have bought through the message and found the right person to give it to.

24 hours later I am still thinking about it.

Diary of a Ghost Hunter - The Wallacia Hotel

We were given the opportunity of staying overnight at the Wallachia Hotel in Western Sydney. The hotelwas officially opened on December 3rd 1937. During the Second World War the hotel was used as the Army headquarters for radiopyhysics. I had never been to the Wallacia Hotel before, but, my ghost hunting gal pal Anne, had been there about 5 years ago with a group of Paranormal Investigators that she was working with at the time. We arrived and we were greeted by Craig, the night manager, who welcomed us with open arms.  Craig recognised Anne from the last time she had visited.  Anne asked whether any spooky things had been happening over the last few years. Craig said that he always thought that there was something a little bit weird going on late at night. Over the last few months everything had changed as the Hotel had been very much affected by the COVID lock downs This was a huge hotel with quite an interesting history even though in the whole scheme of things the hotel was only

Lemon Tree Passage Ghost - Local legend is alive and well

Lemon Tree Passage  is a suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, located at the end of the Tilligerry Peninsula and surrounded by the waters of beautiful Port Stephens .  Ever since I can remember there have been a few urban legends about a stretch of highway named Lemon Tree Passage Road. The story begins when a motor bike rider and his pillion passenger died after colliding with a four wheel drive killing both. This seems to be the source of the ghostly lights and apparition. These sort of events don't stay quiet in small townships. Stories spread fast often not ending up like they started. Every so often this urban legend makes a comeback with a number to people tempting fate and poking the ghost rider.             A memorial to Dale Dickens on the Lemon Tree Passage Road / Pic: Robert Mckell Source:The Daily Telegraph The  Lemon Tree Passage ghost  first made headlines in 2010 after drivers cau

The Ghosts of Prince Henry Hospital and Little Bay

I am a ghost hunter. I explore and research and love to find myself being excited by stories of ghosts and haunted sights. Each story has its place in our collective consciousness and deserves to be heard and felt. Prince Henry Hospital, although long closed, remains a place that is greatly loved by so many nurses and patients and is now run by volunteers who keep its history alive. I began my involvement here abut three years ago when I was asked by Oz Para Tech (www.ozparatech.com) to join them in a public demonstration of ghost hunting for one of their open days. Let me share some history first..   This is a brief history of the Coast Hospital in relation to it being a hospital devoted to infectious diseases.  It was established to deal with a growing epidemic of smallpox in Sydney on September 5, 1881, and the site of Little Bay was chosen because of it's isolation from Sydney's population, its sweeping coastal view
