Yarramalong is on the Central Coast in NSW about 20 kms from Wyong.
This is a lovely collage Barbara sent me that she had made in honor of Milly.
The drive there from Newcastle takes you through gorgeous valley vistas - rolling mountains and green valleys-its simply stunning as the late afternoon sun turns everything golden.
I was interested in this story as I had visited St Barnabas some time ago. It was a quaint little church in the middle of nowhere.
My investigating buddy, Angela, from BOO Paranormal, took the trip out with me this time.
Barbara had seen the ghost of a young girl around the back of the church heading to the cemetery.
She believed this to be the ghost of Milly - a child who had died at the age of 12 and is buried there.
Sadly Milly's parents are not with her - they are buried at Wollombi having passed about 20 years after Millie's death.
Our purpose was to try to connect with Milly's spirit.
Milly was seen by Barbara on a visit there many months beforehand. Milly appeared to her wearing red ribbons in her hair. Milly looked very sad Barbara told us. She was curious to find out why this apparition of a girl had shown itself and why Milly was so sad.
Barbara did some research but found she was getting no where fast.
Just to add to the story -
Interestingly, Angela, my ghost hunting buddy on this trip, had herself visited St Barnabas over a year previously and also was led to Milly's grave site.
During her investigations on that day Angela believed that Milly was telling her that she had died by drowning. Angela did not know if that had been the case - we don't know how Milly had died.
So now we had two different people connecting with the spirit of Milly.
She really did not want to be forgotten.
Would she talk to us today?
We set up Ghost Meters and our SB11 Ghost Box and spent the next hour trying to hear Millie's responses.
We spent time at Milly's grave site - it had suffered a lot of damage from recent rains, as the whole site had. Flowers were washed away into the bush and headstones had been moved and unsettled.
Milly's headstone looks as if it had totally come off and just been placed propped again her grave.
The last remnants of long left flowers were now just withered stalks.
Unfortunately it was not to be this time around.
Milly stayed very quiet as were all of the other energies at St Barnabas.
Not always are amazing results available to obtain, not always will the ghosties come out to play - sometimes its just about being in the moment enjoying the adventure.
One day soon we will head back to St Barnabas to continue our chase of Milly.
In the mean time Barbara says that Milly sometimes comes to visit her, especially when she is gardening and Barbara continues to chat with her and pray that her soul is finding a peaceful place.
